WAISL Launches India’s First Digital Twin-Powered Integrated Airport Predictive Operations Centre

London, December 18, 2024: WAISL is thrilled to announce the launch of its Digital Twin-Powered Integrated Airport Predictive Operations Centre (APOC) at Hyderabad International Airport, India.

Inaugurated by the Honourable Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, the initiative was lauded for the visionary efforts of the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport leadership and its technology partners.

This marks India’s first fully integrated, end-to-end APOC powered by digital twin technology. Covering the Terminal, Airside, and Landside, the solution integrates over 40 modules, monitors 100+ KPIs, and is designed to manage 40+ million passengers annually.

WAISL’s APOC presents significant benefits for airports worldwide, including in the UK, by optimizing operational efficiency, reducing delays, and enhancing passenger satisfaction. With advanced technology, airports can handle increasing passenger volumes, enhance revenue streams, and reduce costs, ensuring a seamless travel experience.

The APOC provides predictive, prescriptive, and simulative insights, offering a comprehensive 360-degree view of airport operations. It leverages cutting-edge technologies like Digital Twin, Cloud Computing, AI/ML, Computer Vision, video analytics, and data-driven insights to transform airport management.

WAISL collaborated with Kloudspot, utilizing IoT technologies for this solution, and more recently joined forces with AWS to refine and scale the APOC for global deployment. AWS highlighted the innovation through press releases and at their prestigious Re-Invent event in Las Vegas.

“At WAISL, we are reshaping the future of airport operations,” said Rishi Mehta, President & CEO of WAISL Ltd. “True transformation lies in the strategic application of technology to address complex challenges in meaningful ways.”

The APOC delivers real-time operational insights, automates daily plans, and predicts potential disruptions. Its self-learning capabilities from post-operational analysis continuously optimize airport performance.

“Our solution provides clear, measurable business value for airport operators and CxOs,” said Preetham Kamesh, Acting Global Chief Business Officer of WAISL Ltd. “By embracing Total Airport Management and integrating IoT/AI/ML technologies, WAISL’s APOC sets a global benchmark for digital operations transformation in aviation.”

By deploying this solution, airports can enhance capacity without additional infrastructure, increase non-aeronautical revenues, and reduce costs through efficiency gains. With predictive analytics to manage demand surges and reduce flight delays, the APOC improves passenger satisfaction and establishes new standards for integrated airport operations.
